WiFi routers, extenders and networking for home and business

Slow internet is, nine times out of ten, weak WiFi rather than a weak plan from the provider. The router that came from the ISP covers one or two rooms; a two-storey house, a shop or rental apartments need a better router, an extender or a mesh system. At MobileLand we offer TP-Link, Tenda, Mercusys and other gear, sorted by purpose.

What you need

  • Router (WiFi 5 / WiFi 6) — replaces or supplements the ISP router; WiFi 6 (AX) for many devices and speeds above 300 Mbps.
  • Range extender (repeater) — extends existing WiFi into a room it does not reach; simple, but halves the speed.
  • Mesh system (2–3 units) — one network across the whole house with no switching; for two floors, large flats and apartments.
  • Switch — more LAN sockets for TV, console, PC and camera; gigabit is the standard.
  • Network card / USB WiFi adapter — for an old PC without WiFi or with a weak card.
  • Powerline — internet through the mains wiring where WiFi will not pass through walls.

For apartments and shops

Guests expect WiFi in every room and on the terrace. A mesh system of two or three units or a ceiling access point solves that without cables along the walls. A guest network separates guests from your devices and cameras.

Speed and standards

Figures like "AC1200" or "AX3000" are the sum of theoretical speeds across all bands — you realistically get a third. For internet up to 100 Mbps WiFi 5 is enough; for 300–1000 Mbps and many smart devices, WiFi 6. Place the router high and central, not in a cabinet or behind the TV.

24-month warranty with most makers, 24–48 h delivery across Montenegro, cash on delivery.

Frequently asked questions

Extender or mesh — which is better for a two-storey house?
Mesh. An extender repeats the signal and halves the speed, and the phone "sticks" to the weaker network. A mesh system of two or three units creates one network and moves devices to the nearest unit itself.
Can I replace the ISP router?
Yes — connect your router by cable to the ISP router/modem (which stays as a modem) or replace it if the ISP allows. With fibre (ONT) the ISP device usually stays and your router goes behind it.
WiFi 5 or WiFi 6?
For internet up to 100 Mbps and a few devices WiFi 5 (AC) is enough and cheaper. For 300+ Mbps, many smart devices and newer phones, WiFi 6 (AX) gives a steadier link and lower latency.
What is the warranty?
12–24 months depending on the manufacturer (stated on the product), against manufacturing defects, with a fiscal receipt; handled in Montenegro, in our stores.
How do I pay and how long does delivery take?
Payment is cash on delivery; courier delivery across Montenegro takes 24–48 h from confirmation. You can also collect in one of the 7 MobileLand stores.
