Memory card — which class and how many GB

A card carries five or six markings and most buyers look only at the gigabytes. Yet the speed class decides whether a camera records 4K without dropping frames, whether a phone stutters, and how long the card survives in a dash cam. At MobileLand cards are sorted by capacity and purpose, and readers by connector.

Markings that matter

Class 10 / U1 — at least 10 MB/s write: photos, music, Full HD video.
U3 / V30 — at least 30 MB/s: 4K video, action cameras, drones, burst shooting.
A1 / A2 — app performance: the card as phone storage expansion (A2 is noticeably faster).
High Endurance — for dash cams and surveillance: withstands constant overwriting that wears out regular cards in months.

How many GB

32 GB — a phone for music and photos, older devices (some cannot read above 32 GB). 64–128 GB — dash cam, action camera, a phone with lots of photos; the best price-to-space ratio. 256–512 GB — 4K recording, drones, Nintendo Switch, a tablet for films. Check the maximum your device supports — it is in the manual.

Card readers

A USB-A or USB-C reader copies footage from a camera to a computer faster than a cable and does not drain the camera battery. USB-C readers also work with phones (OTG) and iPads. For old laptops without an SD slot a reader is the only way.

Frequently asked questions

Which card for a dash cam?

A High Endurance microSD of 64 or 128 GB, class U3/V30. A regular card in a dash cam suffers from constant overwriting and fails within months — the camera then "does not record" even though it works.

Why does my phone not see a 256 GB card?

Older phones and devices support up to 32 GB (SDHC) or up to 128 GB. The maximum is in the device manual. A card above the supported size is either not seen or asks for a format that fails.

Are the cards genuine?

Yes — we only sell cards from official import, with the manufacturer's warranty. Counterfeit cards from the internet have fake capacity: labelled 128 GB, actually 8, and recordings get lost.

How do I pay and how long does delivery take?

Payment is cash on delivery; courier delivery across Montenegro takes 24–48 h from confirmation. You can also collect in one of the 7 MobileLand stores.
