What is specific to Samsung Galaxy screens

New Samsung S and A models have a flat screen, so standard tempered glass fits perfectly. Older S series (S8–S10, S20–S22 Ultra) have curved edges — for those choose full-glue or UV glass, as regular glass stays unbonded at the edges. The S series has an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint reader that needs glass marked compatible; the A series has an optical one and works through any glass.

• 9H tempered glass — the standard: it breaks, not the screen; touch feel like bare glass.
• Full glue / UV — for curved screens; adhesive over the whole surface, no unbonded edge or rainbow.
• Privacy — readable head-on only; for commuting and the office.
• Matte (anti-glare) — no reflections or fingerprints; for games and sunlight.
• Hydrogel film — flexible, follows edges, weaker on impact.
• Camera protector — take it with the glass, keys scratch the camera first.
