iPhone battery — when to replace and which to take

Replacement batteries for iPhone phones (iPhone 5–8, SE, X, XS, 11, 12, 14, 15 Plus/Pro…), by model. A battery is a consumable: after 500–800 cycles (2–3 years) capacity drops to 70–80 %, the phone dies at 20–30 %, slows in the cold and jumps in percentage. A replacement brings the phone back to life for a fraction of a new one.

What is specific to iPhone batteries

An iPhone tells you when the battery needs replacing: Settings → Battery → Battery Health below 80 % or a "service" message. Replacement batteries for iPhone 8 to 15 have the same or higher capacity than the original and a protection board. After a non-original battery iOS may show an "unknown part" notice — the battery works normally and the notice disappears after a few days. Replacement requires removing the screen, so we recommend doing it in our store.

How to identify the right battery

  • The code from the old battery or the exact phone model — our listings carry both.
  • Capacity (mAh) equal to the original or slightly higher; suspiciously large figures are not real.
  • A protection board (BMS) against overcharging — all ours have one.
  • A fresh battery: batteries age on the shelf too, so buy where there is turnover.

Replacement

If the back is lifting or the screen is separating from the frame, the battery has swollen — stop charging and replace it immediately. We replace batteries on the spot in our stores; if you do it yourself, you need a tool kit and patience with the glued back. 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, free delivery from €10, 24–48 h delivery across Montenegro, cash on delivery.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know the battery in my iPhone needs replacing?
It dies at 20–30 %, jumps in percentage, drains in a few hours unused, or the back is lifting (swollen battery — replace immediately). After 2–3 years that is expected.
Will the iPhone show "unknown part" after replacement?
It may, with a non-original battery — the notice in Settings disappears after a few days, and the battery and Battery Health work normally. Performance is not affected.
Do you replace the battery in store and how long does it take?
Yes — in our stores, usually the same day (30–60 minutes depending on the model). Bring the phone; the fitting price depends on whether the back is glued.
What is the warranty on a battery?
12 months against manufacturing defects. Natural capacity loss with use is not a claim; a battery that loses more than 20 % in the first year or swells — is.
Is battery delivery free?
Yes — delivery is free for orders from €10, and almost every phone battery costs more than that; below €10 delivery is €3. Cash on delivery, 24–48 h across Montenegro, or collect in one of the 7 MobileLand stores.
